Activision’s Next-Gen Console Lineup
In a press release today Activision announced their game lineup for this and next year, for the PlayStation 3, Wii and Xbox 360. Both Call of Duty 3 and Marvel: Ultimate Alliance will be released on all of three of the next-gen consoles. All the platforms will have a Tony Hawk game though; Tony Hawk’s Project 8 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and Tony Hawk’s Downhill Jam for the Nintendo Wii.
Mike Griffith, President and CEO of Activision said the following:
“Activision will showcase a diverse and well-rounded game slate at this year’s E3 convention. We expect that our well-established brands and multi-platform development strategy should continue to provide us with an advantage in the new console era. The next-generation console systems feature significant visual and audio enhancements that will continue making video games more accessible to audiences worldwide.“
A total of 6 titles are scheduled for release on the new consoles during 2007. Here they are:
