Air Traffic Controller: Airport Hero Narita for PSP

ATC SimThe most recent issue of Famitsu, a Japanese Gaming Mag contains some interesting piece of news. Electronic Arts, generally associated with sports games, is going to be releasing an Air Traffic Controller Simulation for the PSP. The Sim called Air Traffic Controller: Airport Hero Narita is being developed by Sonic Powered and will put you at the helm of operations of Tokyo’s Narita Airport. Your job will be to pay attention to the radar, keeping track of incoming messages, and guiding incoming and outgoing flights. You will get to choose things like the runway, arrival gate, and other details for every plane in the airport.

The game will contain two modes :

  • Operation Mode
  • Challenge Mode

Operation Mode will contain the staple diet of any game, viz. Playing missions in three difficulty modes. However, playing in Challenge Mode will be much more exciting, since you’ll have to deal with tough situations including emergency landings and the approach of a typhoon.

The game has made an appearence on the PC and GBA before, but the PSP version is believed to be much easier to play. The game will also bundle an encyclopedia on Air Traffic Controller knowledge. The Japanese version is set for release in June. Nothing is mentioned about a US or European release. At least this game looks more exciting than being in Tokyo Narita airport, man was that place boring.
