Assassin's Creed's Altair learns to swim for future project - Image 1In a recent interview, Prince of Persia‘s animation director David Wilkinson let slip details to what may very well be a sequel to Assassin’s Creed (Xbox 360, PS3) *gasp*.

In the interview, Wilkinson was praising the work of Alex Drouin, who did animations for Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. Incidentally, he also worked on Assassin’s Creed, which caused Wilkinson to reveal something he probably shouldn’t have.

Right at the tail end of the interview, he was asked what Drouin was up to now, to which Wilkinson responded: “He’s busy making Altair even more beautiful. Last thing I saw him do was getting Altair to swim.”

An Assassin’s Creed sequel is to be expected, but if we take Wilkinson’s comment point-blank, we have some small clue on what to expect: Altair is back, and he’ll be able to swim. Knowing how Altair takes to water like a bowling ball would, it will be pretty interesting to see how the writers will explain this one.
