Another Crysis vid, reactions are welcome

You’d think that one video is enough to show off what Crytek‘s Crysis can do, but apparently, it ain’t enough. From the depths of YouTube comes this gameplay video from Crytek, uploaded by younewbcurtis, who claims that his PC “is going to choke and die on this…”

And for a moment, at the beginning, we thought we were looking at jaggies. Once the bullets started to fly, though, things started to run smoothly. This ain’t hype talking: those are some wicked graphics. We wonder what it’s running on: current-spec rigs or a D3D10 G80?

(Our PC is going to choke and die on this…) What’s sweet is that the gameplay shows off the modular weapons system. In a snap, an assault rifle is converted into a silenced sniper rifle, and it can also be easily put back to its original form for close-up work. And if you’re wondering as to why can the player leap one-story buildings in a single bound, well that’s the powered exoskeleton talking – the story has your special ops character outfitted with some high-tech gear. You can tell it is powerful by the way he punches through a corrugated-steel roof, and dashes like Sonic the Hedgehog from point A to point B. Not to mention melee bash some poor sod with the kick of a shotgun blast.

Whatever. As it is, our PC is going to choke and die on this. So, does anyone know where to get a good quad-core cheap?
