iPhone launch - Image 1It looks like O2, the mobile service provider licensed to distribute Apple’s beloved iPhone in the UK, is dead on when they said that the tactile mobile phone will be successful in the UK. People eager to get their hands on the iPhone queued for as long as 26 hours, and most of them believe that the wait was well worth it.

The 300-strong crowd that waited for the iPhone launch in Apple’s London flagship store was “whipped” up to a frenzy by Apple staff before the doors were opened, according to a BBC reporter, who described the scene as a mayhem.

So far, most of the people who bought the iPhone at launch date in the UK have the same warm reception to Apple’s groundbreaking phone as the Americans: they love it. Greg Joswiak, iPhone’s marketing head, explained that the customer’s love for the iPhone caused their sales to shoot up “through the roof.”
