Apple releases the sixth designer alpha for its drop OS updates.

Apple releases the fifth developer beta for iOS 18 and all other versions
Apple has moved to the seventh round for iOS 18, iPadOS 18 tvOS 18 macOS Sequoia watchOS 11 and visionOS 2 developer betas as it prepares the operating systems to be available in a few weeks. The seventh round comes after the sixth, released by Apple on August 12. The fifth round was released on August 5, and the fourth round on July 23. Apple did release a minor update for the iOS 18/iPadOS 18 builds on the 26th of July. This is not the sole developer beta track. Apple is also testing iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18,1 and macOS Sequoia 15,1 primarily to introduce Apple Intelligence. The build number for the seventh developer betas is 22A5346a. This replaces 22A5338b. Apple’s seventh build number for tvOS 18, up from 22J5346a, is 22J5353a. The seventh developer beta of watchOS 11 is 22R5348a, replacing 22R5340a. The macOS 15 Sequoia build number 24A5327a replaces 24A5320a as the seventh macOS 15 Sequoia Beta. The seventh visionOS developer beta is build number 22N5314a. It replaces the sixth, 22N5308b. Apple spent the sixth beta round largely finalizing iOS 18 in preparation for its September launch. The beta included some refinements in icon tinting and dark mode interfaces. It also added a new Bluetooth toggle to Control Center. The fifth round introduced Distraction Control for Safari, a feature that allows users remove unwanted elements from webpages. A number of changes have been made to Photos including the removal the Carousel View. AppleInsider’s Marko Zivkovic was also the first to discover the new Sequoia Sunrise Wallpaper in the macOS Sonoma Beta. The fourth iOS 18 Beta included new Control Center improvements, refinements to the flashlight controls and new CarPlay wallpapers. Apple confirmed that the second beta included iPhone Screen Mirroring and SharePlay upgrades. Apple confirmed the news in response to reports that it might not offer Apple Intelligence or other major operating system features to European Union due to Digital Markets Act requirements for interoperability. AppleInsider recommends that users do not install beta or RC versions of software or test operating systems on “mission critical” or primary devices. There is a small chance that data could be lost. Instead, testers should use secondary or non essential hardware and make sure they have enough backups of critical data. You can find any changes in these new builds.
