Army of Two video: open up your heart, literally

Ever heard of Army Of Two? Right, it’s this promising upcoming title from Electronic Arts for Xbox 360 and PS3 that features a couple of really manly men running around together and shooting stuff. So far, we know that the interaction between main characters Tyson Rios and Elliot Salem will be the beef of this game.

While we’ve seen so much of these action shooter games, Army of Two offers a fresh idea or two to the table of next-gen games. Mind blowing graphics? Check. Tactical, co-op based action? It’s all there. What you won’t find in most games, however, is the kind of gameplay that demands teamwork and punishes those who care not about their partner. Not to mention that these clowns humorously hit each other or engage in hilarious dialogue along the way.

Another cool feature is the Trauma Center-ish way of aiding your buddy. It’s basically like Metal Gear Solid 3‘s Cure mode, but Tyson and Elliot aren’t legendary super soldiers – they need each other to get the job done. One guy with a sharp object, other with a bullet under his skin; you can guess what happens next.

See how it works, and get some chunks of info straight from the devs by watching the video below.
