Asmussen talks about Kratos’ end in God of War III

gowLet me start this off with a stern warning: There are spoilers in this post, so if you’re not done with God of War III, click on something else from the QJ Front Page. Okay, if you’ve gotten to this point in the article, you have waived your right to whine and complain about reading the spoiler, or you’ve finished the game so it doesn’t matter, or it just plain doesn’t matter to you whether you see the spoiler or not.

Thing is, when Stig Asmussen was interviewed by the French PlayStation Magazine regarding what really happened to Kratos at the end of the game, the guy actually responded! And no, it wasn’t even like a cryptic you’re-gonna-have-to-unlock-all-Trophies-to-find-out kind of answer.

French PS Mag : We want to know…. Is this the end of Kratos? Is he really dead?

Stig : At the end of the game, if we pay attention to the sound, we hear the breath of Kratos which is finally stopped. Meanwhile, we also hear a laugh, a laugh of being relieved. To be honest, I don’t know. It’s an ending with an opening – I don’t know if Athena will take him away, or someone else will, whether or not he is still alive.

Bet you’ll replay the game to catch that part again, wouldn’t you?
