Assassin’s Creed 2 will have 3 hours of cutscenes

You better have a few snacks close at hand when you finally get to play Assassin’s Creed II (PS3, Xbox 360, and PC). The British Board of Film Classification says the game has about 3 hours’ worth of cutscenes.

As noted in the BBFC’s classification report for the game, “When submitted to the BBFC the linear elements within the work had a running time (eg cut scenes) of 181m 30s.”

It’s not that bad, really, especially since Ubisoft has said before that Assassin’s Creed II will be longer than the original. We’ll find out if that’s really the case when come launch day on November 17.
