Fortunately, Atari has confirmed the release date for most versions of the upcoming game: it’s June 20 for Europe and June 24 for the US. The dates mentioned above apply to the Xbox 360, PC, PS2 and Wii versions of the game, with a PS3 version to follow later this year.

The release date was reportedly pushed back from May to ensure that Alone in the Dark will be as good as it can possibly be. An Atari representative mentioned that Eden Games wanted to polish the game further.

In spite of this, the developer remains confident about its product:

We want to deliver the best possible experience to gamer, because we have a remarkable product. WeÂ’ve been getting an incredible response from the people that have seen it in demos. WeÂ’ll soon be supplying code to the market.
