Battlefield 2: Modern Combat For Xbox 360 Reviews

With the release of Battlefield 2: Modern Combat just around the corner a few sites have started putting up their reviews for the team based shooter on 360. For those who want to try it out be sure to download the demo from the marketplace. Gamespot and TeamXbox have posted their reviews and here are a few of their highlights.

Gamespot gave the game a 7.5 out of 10 as well as listed the good and bad aspects of the game.

The Good:
Hot swapping adds a fun dynamic to the gameplay; lots of vehicles and weapons to play around with; varied campaign; 24 player online multiplayer.
The Bad: Arcadey, shooting gallery-like feel; vehicles don’t control well; friendly artificial intelligence isn’t so great.

TeamXbox gave the game around the same score with a 7.3 out of 10 while breaking the attributes up into 5 categories.

Gameplay: The game is entertaining, but coming out six months after the Xbox version only brought a few new aspects to the table.

Graphics: EA and developer Digital Illusions took advantage of the Xbox 360Â’s advanced hardware to deliver visuals in the consoleÂ’s 720p resolution standard.

Audio: ThereÂ’s nothing like Dolby 5.1 Surround sound to bring the war action to life.

Longevity: The title has a lot of gameplay to explore, with a single-player Campaign, single-player Challenges and online multiplayer. And thereÂ’s the ongoing Achievement huntingÂ…

Next Gen: While the game has been upgraded with improved graphics and sound, it unfortunately comes off like an old car with a great paint job ItÂ’s just not as impressive as it should be.
