Battlestations: Midway, another volley of trailers

Japanese Zero, by Mitsubishi

A lot of “What if” scenarios pop up among history buffs when we talk about the Battle of Midway. What if that SBD Dauntless squadron never bungled into the Japanese Navy’s carriers? What if the US carrier battle-group had been at Pearl Harbor during the bombing? Questions aside, we thought it’d be best to put theories like these to the test, as we bring you two more trailers we picked up from IGN for the Battlestations: Midway title that’s launching for the Xbox 360 and PC.

History buffs and guys who just plain like to blow stuff up should find these vids appealing, as they address the different sort of toys you can play with as you fight the game either behind the helm of ships like the US carrier Enterprise, or from behind the cockpit of a SBD Dauntless divebomber – or strangely enough – from behind the gunpod of a B-29 Strato-fortress (that’s pretty out-of-place). Well, enough of the speculations, enjoy the video, and prepare for the game’s February sortie.
