BD-J homebrew blocked in PS3 FW 2.50

We’ve gotten reports that the new PS3 firmware released yesterday – firmware 2.50, to be exact – has been confirmed to block all BD-J homebrew made for the console.

We’ve gotten reports that the new PS3 firmware released yesterday – firmware 2.50, to be exact – has been confirmed to block all BD-J homebrew made for the console.

Definitely bad news for those who usually run BD-J homebrew on their PS3s, but it’s not really so surprising as Sony was bound to do something like this sooner or later. Hopefully more progress will be made in the future to keep homebrew alive on the new firmware.
