Best Buy witholding Wiis for Black Friday?

It's Black Friday, they're in love!Black Friday, America’s biggest shopping day of the year, is literally just around the corner, with but only a couple of days more to go. Now, usually, it’s mostly the females that go ga-ga over this day. But not this year, especially since Sony and Nintendo both just launched their next-gen consoles last weekend. Yup, we’re sure expecting a hefty number of males milling about malls that time.

But in relation to that event, what seems to be bothering is the news we received that the retail store Best Buy are already sitting on the second batch of Wii shipment. Wait, that’s supposed to be good news, right? The thing is, they’re reportedly flat out lying to the customers, and are strategically withholding the stocks so that they may sell them in full force, along with accessory and warranty sales (’cause that’s where they make the most cash) come Black Friday.

Now, all these, we picked up from Davey, who claims to be a former employee of the store. According to him, that’s really the MO of the store. So given his experience as an employee there, he sure knows how they do their deeds inside. But his confirmation that there actually are Wiis already from the second shipment came from a friend who happens to be an employee.

He narrates, “He graciously and honestly told me that he just pulled 30 Wiis off the truck, but Best Buy was intentionally holding them for the add and for Black Friday.”

Hmm, that’s really sneaky. And while some may say it’s just downright unethical, business is business. And we can’t really expect them to maintain their moral ground, especially if it’s profit they’re after in the first place.
