Bethesda Speaks on PS3, PSP Oblivion Rumor

Oblivion for the PS3We earlier reported on the availability of what looks like the PS3 and PSP version of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion at EBGames. Apparently, EBGames isn’t the only one posting the same product — GameStop also listed the same thing. We mentioned in that article that until nothing official comes out from Bethesda, then the product pages could be subject to change and could be considered as your usual rumor.

Well now, someone from Bethesda has already spoken about it. According to Bethesda representative Pete Hines those product pages are “hogwash” and that these product pages are “just assumptions”. He also reiterated that there are “no announced plans for any other version right now.”

Whether this is the truth or an attempt to cover up the game’s development trails, is something we could only speculate about. For now, we have no choice but to take his official word as the answer to that gossip. Only time would tell, I guess.

Thanks Harblurger for the tip!
