Beyond Good & Evil 2 Heading to the Revolution?

While the first Beyond Good & Evil won the hearts of reviewers and hardcore gamers, it failed to be a commercial success; thus, a (badly needed) sequel seemed highly unlikely. However, according to Jeuxpo, Ubisoft is not only currently developing Beyond Good & Evil 2 as we speak (or more literally, as I type), but it is slated for release on the Revolution in 2007. There wasn’t much talk on the new features the game would boast other than the fact that it would take place in the same setting as the first and that players will be given the ability to travel to different worlds.

While there were no sources to back this news up, I’m certainly keeping my fingers crossed as the first ended so abruptly. Also, if you’re one of the many gamers who ignored BG&E when it came out (shame!), I highly suggest you drop everything and play it.
