Daniel Arey, who worked on titles such as Crash Bandicoot, the Jak and Daxter series, and Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, have teamed up to form an all new studio: Big Red Button Entertainment.

Big Red Button Entertainment recently launched, introducing themselves to the game development community via their new official website. This company was founded by two former employees of Naughty Dog, Bob Rafai and E. Daniel Arey.

Rafai’s a former art director for Naughty Dog, responsible for leading the visual development on Crash Bandicoot and the Jak and Daxter Series. He was also co-art director for Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune. With Arey, he assisted the developmen on titles such as Gex, Crash Bandicoot, Jak and Daxter, and even Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune.

With Big Red Button, Rafai will be taking the role of Chieft Visual Officer while Arey will be the company’s Chief Creative Officer. They formed this company because “Games are now the primary entertainment medium of the 21st century,” as said in their website.

Also, the company’s philosophy is “To make games you want to watch and films you want to play.” They also added,

Our commitment is to make not just fun, engaging and compelling games, but games that everyone can play, and everyone will want to play. We at BRB share this long term vision, intending to grow the gaming market, both in terms of age & gender demographics, as well as in emotional appeal.

The company also made it known that they are currently have six titles that are in concept development.
