Last month, we already told you that the hit show from Cartoon Network will be heading to the Wii, but this time, the guys at Midway Games Inc. themselves has just announced that The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy for the Wii is now officially in the development phase. And not only will Billy and Mandy be wee-ing their way into Wii, but also into PS2, GC, and GBA this holiday season.

Steve Allison, chief marketing officer for Midway, says that he can’t wait to bring Billy and Mandy’s mayhem to Nintendo’s next-gen console, where the game will utilize Wii’s unique features which include split controls, motion sensing, etc. According to Midway, gamers can expect content-specific gameplay features that will be exclusive on the Wii. The game will take 20 fully interactive environments from the TV show where players will be able to battle it out, smash stuff and destroy environments.

All 15 playable characters to be featured on the game will have unique abilities based on their personalities, including Billy’s berserk attack and Mandy’s deadly smile. The game will also have two playable modes: Mission Mode and Battle Mode. Mission Mode can be played as a single-player or in dual co-op, where gamers will go through 45 missions with unlockable rewards. In Battle mode, up to four players can play and choose arenas, characters, weapons, and battle parameters as they compete to be the Last One Standing.

Now, instead of just catching the show on Cartoon Network, you can now control the grim adventures that Billy and Mandy get into. But not until November 30th though, ‘coz that’s when the game will supposedly be set and released for the Wii.
