BioShock cover art contest concludes, Limited Edition cover art revealed

2K Games‘ BioShock Cover Art Contest had budding artistic talents and avid fans of the classic game vie for fame, fortune, copies of BioShock Limited Edition for both the Xbox 360 and PC, and an all-expense paid trip to starship Von Braun the BioShock Launch Party in August.

Of course, the winner gets his art work plastered on the uber-limited Limited Edition of the spiritual successor to System Shock 2, and so revealing Adam Meyer’s entry means the game cover would look as gorgeous as these images on creepy site Cult of Rapture.

Jason Montgomery and Alun Bestor probably didn’t mind losing, as they both grabbed a Cult of Rapture tee-shirt and Limited Edition copies for both the PC and Xbox 360, which has yet to emerge this June.

The winners were picked out from a finalist line-up of twelve talents, each of their entries were sifted out from more than 150 artwork submissions. The panel of 2K Games and Irrational judges selected the cream of the crop, while leaving the nine remaining as Cult of Rapture tee-shirt-wearing honorable mentions.
