Bleach: Heat the Soul 4 Battle System update

The official website for Bleach: Heat the Soul 4 has just been updated with a few new videos of the game’s battle system. Here’s what we were able to gather.

Six of the seven confirmed characters – Ichigo, Grimmjow, Ikkaku, Yumichika, Hiyori, and Shinji – are featured doing a kind of overdrive combo attack mode different from the game’s standard specials. Also, the spirit gauge is apparently gone, so those of you who like to spam specials are out of luck. Another interesting thing is that Ichigo can now apparently do the hyper sidestep anytime. In Heat the Soul 3, it was only executable while doing a combo.

Apart from the battle system updates, there’s still no word on additional characters. I’m done hoping for Tatsuki to show up, so I’m instead rooting for Lisa. Yeah, impossible, I know, but a guy can hope.
