Broken Big Daddy figurines causes Gamestop to halt BioShock Collector’s Edition?

For those who already reserved their copy of the BioShock Collector’s Edition in hopes of getting their own personal Big Daddy, there is a little snag coming your way.

Word is out in the Evil Avatar forums that GameStop halted the Collector’s Edition pre-orders both for the Xbox 360, while the PC Limited Edition version can only be pre-ordered in stores due to broken Big Daddy figurines. Certainly not good news for BioShock fans, though the regular version of the game is still available on both platforms, in stores and on GameStop’s online store.

We certainly hope that 2K Games will manage to find a solution to this pressing problem. The figurine is the most important item in the Collector’s Box (aside from the game, of course). We certainly wouldn’t want to miss out on getting a figurine, because we all love Big Daddy. We’ll be waiting for an official announcement on this one, until then, stay tuned.
