Build worlds, get hired: BioWare World Design Contest

Build Worlds with Bioware! - Image 1BioWare is looking for people to help them make an MMO, but they’re not looking for just anybody, mind you. They only want the best and brightest talent in their roster, and to help them do that, they’ve sponsored a module building contest for budding world-shapers to get into.

The contest involves creating a short module using the Neverwinter Nights 1 Aurora toolset, with a solid storyline, cool characters, and excellent technical execution. According to BioWare, that means a couple of things:

When hiring world designers, BioWare looks at your scripting/technical abilities, your creative level design skills, your ability to create cinematic moments, and your ability to create interesting and fun puzzles. Because BioWare is known for quality, we also value a world designer’s ability to create stable, bug free work that is well documented.

Of course, you’re limited by the resources at your disposal, but the prizes are awesome. In addition to the chance of getting hired by BioWare to make an MMO, the top ten submissions will also get the following:

Sounds good, doesn’t it? The contest ends on July 20, so you guys better hurry though. You can catch the rest of the rules and FAQs by clicking the Read link below. Good luck!
