Nintendo Company Ltd. certainly popped a lot of surprises for us in its recent Fall Press Conference, and here we get a little bit more intimate with one of those surprises – namely, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Young King and the Promised Land. Let’s look at what this future WiiWare downloadable title has to offer, with its promise to give players the ability to build their very own country from the ground up.

Looking at the videos and the screenshots taken from Nintendo’s little shindig, it’s hard to believe that we’re going to be downloading something with such detailed visuals and smooth animation via the Wii Shop Channel.

Downloading Virtual Console titles is one thing, but downloading full games that look as good and as solid as Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Young King and the Promised Land? Truly amazing. Here’s hoping that it comes at an affordable price, or at the very least, not as hefty a load of Wii Points that we’re expecting.

If this is the kind of support we’ll be seeing from Square Enix for WiiWare, then there are truly promising times ahead for the Nintendo Wii and its online services. Updates as we get them, and enjoy the media!
