Bungie responds to worries over game balance
Aside from making the obligatory “Halo 3 is going to be so good you’ll geekgasm into your pants” teases, Frankie over at Bungie.net does take take to answer a few questions raised by the recently released Vidoc in this week’s Bungie Update.
In response to some of the panic over the supposed balance issues inherent in the implementation of an all-new feature (Bubble Shields), Frankie notes that they won’t. Balance issues considered, it will be a piece of equipment that’s rare and will definitely be valuable if found. He adds that if you die without deploying it, just like guns or grenades, someone else can then pick it up and use it.
And no, you just drop them. You don’t hurl them like grenades.
As for other things spotted in the vidoc like that “chain gun” like weapon and the spike grenades in action, Frankie notes that he can’t talk much about them. Except that the mentioned “chain” weapon can’t be pulled off the back of a hog.
For machinama fans, the Saved Films feature shown off in the vidoc should drive them “delirious,” or so Frankie claims. He adds that not only machinama fans will appreciate it, others should too, as regular players can use it as a helpful skill improvement tool.
Why can’t two weeks just fade away. Why can’t it be May already?
