Burnout Paradise gets bikes - Image 1Previously slated for an August release, Criterion Games‘ Davis Update for Burnout Paradise (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360), now known as the “bikes pack,” is set for release in September. Over on the PlayStation Blog, Criterion’s Jeremy Chubb explained a little of what was coming in the update, and it certainly makes us excited for bikes.

According to Chubb, the “bikes pack” will add two new motorcycles to the game – the Firehawk racing bike and the FV1100 street bike – as well as 70 motorcycle challenges.

Once the update goes live, the game will also get day and night modes as well as weather effects. The day-night cycle happens to increase or decrease the number of vehicles on the road when you’re racing, and night time introduces special “Midnight Rides” challenges that you can undertake.

While we feel rather bad that the update isn’t coming in August, we’re still thankful that the content is free and of high-quality. Let’s just hope the updates for the Xbox 360 or PS3 versions of the game don’t run into any hitches along the way.
