Call of Duty: Black Ops game modes explained, single-player is epic
Sometimes it’s fun being a loner in-game — although gamers have been unfairly generalized as actual loners in real life too, but that’s another matter altogether. Sometimes it’s fun being a loner in-game — although gamers have been unfairly generalized as actual loners in real life too, but that’s another matter altogether. Treyarch recognizes this need for a one-man fight every once in a while, and so they brought the single-player campaign to Call of Duty: Black Ops. Mark Lamia explains more in an interview with MTV Multiplayer.
The Treyarch studio head explains that the Black Ops campaign will exclusively be a single-player act. Yes, there will be a multiplayer campaign of course, but that’s an entirely separate thing altogether.
Said Lamia, “Single-player is the epic, cinematic, seat-of-your-pants thrill ride that you star in.” He goes on to differentiate it from the multiplayer segment. “Then there’s multiplayer, when you want to play competitive with your friends and really chisel and hone your skills and do that addictive experience.”
The other mode to be featured is the co-op mode, which is “for when you want to have a blast with your friends, just sitting on the couch and having an awesome co-op experience. we’re crafting unique co-op modes around that experience, but it is different than what people think.”
Andthere are modes to be uncovered in the near future, hopefully two weeks from now. But at least, with the information we have right now, it’s good to know there will be choices.
