Given how many betas are already lined up for the PlayStation 3, would you really miss one? Well, that’s what PS3 gamers can use to console themselves after this news.
According to Treyarch and Activision, the multiplayer beta of Call of Duty: World at War will only be available for Xbox 360 and PC gamers when it arrives next month.
It seems that the beta went exclusive due to “increased server and connectivity data,” as explained by an Activision representative. He goes on to say that most betas on the PS3 are first party anyway, so they’ll be able to acquire more data on servers and connectivity from betas running on the 360 and PC.
Xbox 360 gamers can get invites to the beta by either registering on the official website, or by pre-ordering the game at GameStop. Space is limited so you might want to register as soon as possible. As for PlayStation 3 gamers, well, there’s still Killzone 2 and Resistance 2.
