Calling All Cars, almost ready to rev up! (But HL? Not starting)

I said FREEZE, (expletive deleted)! Why do they always choose to run?

Run past David Jaffe‘s blog for a moment (“Under Construction” – but don’t let the name fool you). He says the tuning on Calling All Cars is almost done. Next bit: he plans to show the game to 1UP next week (well, there’s something to watch out for in future PS3.QJ coverage). Conclusion: when can we see an APB for Calling All Cars on the PlayStation Store? David gives no indicator, so the best (and safest) answer is “We’ll see…”

Next – and this one ain’t good. The “HL” PSP project Jaffe’s also been working on? Check the right side of the blog. There’s a title there, Heartland (HeartLand? Close enough?) that is unfortunately cancelled (…fudge). In fact, he announced it cancelled back in November. “Because it was just not a good match with the developer (who was slammed with the epic that is WarHawk).” Probably among other things – he also did mention that this was around the time the workload was finally getting to him, healthwise. Either way, we’ve got to read this guy’s blog more.

Hopefully, it’s just sitting in David’s back shelf, waiting for another opportunity and chance to rise again. But that’s up to him to decide. Still, David did go on to say that at least the cancellation gave him more time to focus on “the small games space.” Which is Calling All Cars.
