Capcom announces Commando 3 for XBLA and PSN

Capcom announces Commando 3 for the XBLA and PSN - Image 1 Looks like Capcom‘s not quite finished letting loose with releasing more announcements. Word is out that aside from Bionic Commando (PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360), the company is making preparations release their similarly-named Commando 3 game to the Xbox 360’s XBLA, and the PlayStation 3’s PlayStation Network.

As its title implies, Commando 3 is the third sequel of Capcom’s Commando arcade title from 1985. It’s a vertical scrolling shoot ’em up that will give players the option of using three characters: Animal (an ex-marine), Smoke (a special ops chick), and Boomer (an explosives expert). This game will support up to three players simultaneously, and carries other features such as adjustable difficulties, and co-op vehicles.

Commando 3 by Backbone Emeryville for the XBLA will cost you 800 Microsoft points, while the PSN port will cost US$ 9.99. Expect this game to hit by this winter – check back if we hear of any related updates.
