Capcom apologizes for the Monster Hunter 3 switcheroo
After learning about Monster Hunter 3‘s surprising platform switch from Sony‘s PlayStation 3 to the Nintendo Wii due to the PS3’s high production costs, folks from Capcom wanted to send their apologies to the people who bought Sony’s next-gen console with the anticipation of getting Monster Hunter 3.
However, there’s still hope for Sony’s console in getting a Monster Hunter game, according to Japanese gaming publication Famitsu. Capcom’s publicist told the gaming magazine that they have a multiplatform strategy for the Monster Hunter franchise, so there is still a possibility of it coming to the PS3, albeit just a faint one.
And how about a numbered Monster Hunter title for the PSP? While Capcom didn’t answer that question directly, they did say that the PSP is very important for the franchise. We do hope that it can be taken as a “yes”.
