Capcom Japan: Street Fighter IV sequel announcement coming soon

There’s a Street Fighter IV (PS3, Xbox 360) sequel coming, Capcom‘s Natsuki Shiozawa said so himself in Capcom Japan‘s official blog. We’re not really sure how much of a “sequel” this actually would be, but he did indicate that an official announcement will be made soon.

Again, all eyes turn to the next hottest event in (out of) Town, the Tokyo Game Show. IGN has noted that this “sequel” need not necessarily be a brand new entry to the series though. Which is possible too, considering how we’ve seen the likes of Street Fighter II Championship Edition join the franchise line-up.

We’ll wait for that announcement that’s been promised to come soon.
