Both Konami‘s Castlevania II: Simon’s Quest for the Wii Virtual Console and LucasartsIndiana Jones 2008 have already been rated by the ESRB. We’ll probably see the former before the latter, but it’s nice to have the knowledge that both games will be coming out soon.

Castlevania II: Simon’s Quest takes place seven years after the first installment. Simon falls under a curse cast by Dracula in his death throes and the minions of the lord of the night have begun to manifest themselves once again. Simon must once again rely on his whip and reflexes to defeat all the creatures of the night and collect the pieces of Dracula to end the curse. This game can be considered a classic in its own right, and one that this blogger can whole-heartedly recommend. Be sure to watch out for its arrival on the Wii Virtual Console.

Not much information on Indiana Jones 2008 for the PSP, but it might be a tie-in to the fourth movie being directed by Steven Spielberg. The chance to wear a Dr. Jones’ brown fedora and sling a whip should be enough reason to at least give this game a look.

With these new releases upcoming, it’s a whippingly great time to be a gamer. When more news about both games come out you can be sure that we’ll be posting them here, so don’t forget to keep checking back.
