Castlevania: Symphony of the Night on its Way to XBLA

SOTNCastlevania: Symphony of the Night, the 13th installment of the Castlevania series and is a direct sequel to Demon Castle Dracula X: Rondo of Blood for the NEC PC Engine, is making its way to the Xbox 360. To go down to the specifics, it will be available on Xbox Live Arcade. This development has burst the planned PS1 titles that would soon be heading to the PSP via emulation, maybe Konami didn’t hear that and jumped the gun too soon.

The game, which was a massive hit during its PSOne days, would also be joined in XBLA by other Konami titles such as Frogger, Contra, Super Contra, Track & Field, Time Pilot, and Scramble. This development was said to be reported in the September issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly.

Apparently, the PSOne version of the game will appear in XBLA, not the Sega Saturn Version.  Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (SOTN) would allegedly have a tentative Q1 2007 release on XBLA.
