Here be the Wii. The family guy. The wee wii that could. The little guy with the fancy nunchucks. The console that’s roughly the size of three dvd cases put on top of each other. Like tinny little hobbits, have faith that you’ll see this nice little thing number in the millions. Fun for everyone.
Oh and check out the Xbox 360. The concave enamel box that has a bright green power symbol. It is a fire-starter, and you wouldn’t want to make it glow red. First in the scene, online and live, playing around with an arcade and a marketplace, steady with a community. Already there, established, tried and tested.
Finally observe the PS3. Here’s the big black glossy powerhouse. The wallet killer of a console. The one that most love to love and the one some lurve to hate. Curved, sleek, and sexy, this diva will start slow on launch with only 400,000 units. But with high demand, killer hype, and more things inside it than a barbecue grill on family day, people expect this to play catch up and give competitors a run for their money come next year.
