Court denies Thompson’s Kotaku complaint yet again

Jack Thompson denied once more - Image 1Federal District court Judge Paul Huck had already denied the lawsuit filed by Jack Thompson involving gaming site Kotaku’s parent company Gawker Media. Despite that, it should be remembered that the controversial lawyer mentioned that he would re-file an amendment to the case.

Thompson did raise the issue once more with an amendment to the case. Guess what happened? Judge Huck refused again to include Gawker Media as a defendant. Thompson added Kotaku to the complaint because of the comments posted of the said online video game site.

Huck argued that Thompson may not add more distinct and unrelated claims into a single lawsuit. Part of the judge’s decision reads,

This action will not serve as a repository for any and all real or perceived claims that Plaintiff has against various entities. Although Plaintiff, in his motion, characterizes the actions of the Defendants as a “collaborated assault” against him, it is apparent thatÂ… Plaintiff’s accusations against Gawker MediaÂ… are wholly separate from his claims against the remaining defendants.

While Huck’s decision looks encompassing and will finally allow Gawker Media out of this mess for good, you can always count on Jack Thompson to never run out of determination. Let’s all wait and see how this will turn out.
