Creators of controversial Killer7 promise new title for Revolution

Killer7Grasshopper Manufacture Game Designer and Managing Director Suda 51, the same studio behind controversy-filled Killer7, is set to weave the same magic – or gore – on Nintendo’s upcoming next-generation console, the Revolution.

Nobuhiko Nakamura, Grasshopper Manufacture Product Manager, recently confirmed their plans with Nintendo, adding that they will unveil the title and provide more details on it at E3 2006 in May.

Suda 51 also earlier mentioned that the mysterious new title will surpass Killer7, which features one of the most mature themes in a videogame to date. The gamer plays the part of the wheelchair-bound assassin Harman Smith, a man who can conjure up in physical form the seven deadly personalities that exist in his mind. It has been plagued by controversy due to its numerous sexual references, violent language and gore, and perhaps even by its confusing gameplay.

If indeed the said title is better (in what terms, the reader is free to surmise) than Killer7, then it deserves to be hotly anticipated by the gaming world (another possible round of controversy would be enough to whet my appetite).
