Cry havoc, and let slip the Bladestorm: The Hundred Years War screens

Bladestorm

The Hundred Years’ War in Europe is one of world history’s greatest and epic battles ever fought. The simple fact that it lasted for 116 years (yep! not a solid 100 years – from 1337 to 1453) means that it’s as large-scale as any other campaign. To base a game on this England vs. France war leaves one to speculate that it would be nothing but mind-blowing.

Koei‘s Bladestorm: The Hundred Years War is taking arms against a sea of storms and is buckling up for a timely Spring 2007 release. To give you an idea of how big this game is, you can choose between fighting for England or France, with each of them having their own campaigns. The two heroes of the game: Edward the Black Prince and Joan of Arc.

By the way, it’s 65,000 characters on a screen at once. Now that’s a war.

If you still can’t imagine how epic it is, then you’re a lost cause. You can redeem yourself however. Let these screens (whole battalions of them!) show you how massive it is…
