Cylons show themselves in more Battlestar Galactica details

The Cylons are coming! - Image 1 Frak ‘n cheese! The Cylon wars are starting to heat up. Not wanting to lose the momentum right after announcing the release date of their game, Sierra Online has now revealed more info about Battlestar Galactica. The HD game, which will be bypassing retail and heading directly for paid download on the PC and via the XBL for 360 owners, will be based on events as seen in the first two seasons of the series.

Aside from the nine missions in single-player mode, there will be over a dozen multiplayer maps that can hold up to 16 player on the PC and up to eight on 360. There’s a four-versus-four and eight-versus-eight team play, with both side of the war being represented – Colonials and Cylons. Sierra will also be rolling out some downloadable content: new missions, ships, multiplayer maps, etc.

It seems as if they’re really giving fans what they want to see in a BSG game. To stay true to the TV series, the development team has worked closely with the studio producing BSG, and will be bringing the ships into the game. More than that, they’re even going to add more depth into the universe by introducing new never-before-seen ships.
