Two words: Crisis Core. Three sets of numbers: 9. 13. 2007.

The biggest surprise ever to be hinted at in Squeenix’s extravagant bash in Japan has now finally been unveiled. Appearing at the end of a new trailer that was part of Square Enix‘s “Closed Mega Theater” video presentation, the numbers give every Final Fantasy fan a reason to rejoice: the final release date of Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII for Japan has finally been decided, specifically mid-September of this year.

We’re all hopping up and down on our seats over here at QJ, and you should very well be. Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII for the PSP more or less promises to fill in the blanks with Zack and Sephiroth, as well as Cloud’s mysterious past (which was only briefly touched on, even in the main game itself). We can only wonder what revelations will come to light with Crisis Core, and frankly we can’t wait for news about a US release, if any (updates about this as we get them, of course).
