David Jaffe on his move to PSN games and his future plans

David Jaffe on Criminal Crackdown and future PSN games - Image 1Sony‘s David Jaffe was recently interviewed by Three Speech regarding his movement from big scale games to download-only games, and his future plans. Jaffe, who has taken a hiatus from blogging, had a lot to say about the topic.

The game developer called his movement to smaller scale field “a joy.” He said that it was “so much fun to do a game that was really just about what I think makes games great: the interactivity.” He delved into his gaming background as well divulging in words the amount of fun he had while playing Pacman, Ms Pacman, Asteroids, and Battlezone with his friends.

With regards to producing more PSN games, Jaffe said that “that’s all you’re going to see of me in the future.” He is very content and happy at his current position and has no immediate plans of shifting to any other projects. His goal in making games “is to provide people with fun, to make people laugh and trash-talk with their buddies.” is a very good one. All things considered, that’s what got a lot of people into gaming in the first place.
