Dead Head Fred wins WGA’s first Videogame Writing Award

Dead Head Fred PSP - Image 1D3Publisher of America and Vicious Cycle Software‘s Dead Head Fred for the PSP was awarded the very first Videogame Writing Award by the Writers Guild of America (WGA). The award was given during the 2008 Writers Guild Awards which was held last February 9.

The Videogame Writing Award was created by the WGA and was spearheaded by the GuildÂ’s New Media Caucusto in order to encourage storytelling excellence in videogames, improve the status of writers, and foster uniform standards within the gaming industry.

As expected, the developers and publisher of Dead Head Fred were pleased by this award. So before we go, we’d like to leave you guys with a few words from D3PA‘s executive vice president and chief operations officer Yoji Takenaka:
