Pipeworks Software has been hard at work with Godzilla: Unleashed. In the recent post on the developers’ blog, they announced quite a few updates on the game that fans would want to hear about. The first thing they discussed was the new water tech that they’ve developed.

They believe that it looks spectacular, and after seeing the screenshots, we can’t help but agree. The look of the water has long been a problem for the developers and they’re really proud about what they’ve accomplished this time.

In addition to this, they’ve also gotten the look of the various types of crystals in the game worked out. It looks like they’ve been burning the midnight oil on this update as well since they had to write new crystal shaders not to mention rework the shapes, textures, animations, and particle effects of the crystals.

Furthermore, the developers have given word that there are many types of crystals in the game and we’ll be seeing more of it as we creep closer to the launch date. Speaking of which, the game will be released within the year on the PSP, Wii, and the Nintendo DS.
