Devil May Cry anime coming soon

Devil May Cry

Finally. A Devil May Cry anime series. We thought hell will freeze over before this production gets the light of day. Do not panic people, our favorite laid-back demon hunter who is a half-demon himself, Dante will not get bastardized.

Madhouse Productions, makers of popular anime series’ like Cardcaptor Sakura and Chobits, for the shojou genre, and western favorites Ninja Scroll and Trigun, have been tapped to  make the series. And if you’re still thinking that animes are confined to the Otas in the Akihabara district, then maybe their 2003 anime film, Nasu: Summer in Andalusia, which is the first Japanese anime film to be selected for the prestigious Cannes Film Festival, would change your mind.

The Devil May Cry madness will start with the first twelve episodes airing this spring on WOWOW. You can get up to date schedules through the website.
