Diesel Games first to develop game for 4D AstoundSound experience

The 2004-patented spatialization technology from GenAudio, AstoundSound, is now going to be officially showcased in gaming applications thanks to Diesel Games is a next-generation PC/Console game developer located in Tempe, Arizona. Also first to use AstoundSound”>Diesel Games. In an official press release, GenAudio and Diesel announced that a first person video game is now in plans for development coming especially with AstoundSound audio features.

Entitled Deprived, the game is slated to deliver the most immersive experience, even over your typical stereo speakers or headphones. The game is geared up for the PC and Xbox 360 and it wallows on the deeper end of the survival horror kind. Some details have come up stating that the game will be an FPS, but they’re sketchy at the moment.

Jerry Mahabub explained that their interest in pushing the technology out to games was sparked by their relations with Diesel Games and their technical knowledge of the game industry. As the CEO and President of GenAudio, he said:

Diesel Games has been working with GenAudio in an advisory roll over the last year to help develop the Real-Time Interface for AstoundSound. Diesel has been instrumental in our understanding of the video game industry and they continue to impress us with their technical insight. We look forward to working together in this new capacity.
