Do you keep getting your backside handed to you on a platter in Q-GamesPixelJunk titles? If the difficulty curve is just a tad too hard for you, don’t worry. It looks like things may soon become easier.

Replying to an open letter from TheBBPS regarding the frustratingly difficult PixelJunk Monsters and PixelJunk Eden, Q-Games producer Dylan Cuthbert confirmed that they’ll be throwing the less-than-expert gamers out there a bone by way of a free patch for Monsters.

The patch will add Easy, Medium, Hard, and Expert modes to PixelJunk Monsters. These new modes will only be available in offline play, though, as Q-Games will be keeping the current difficulty setting for online play in order to maintain fairness in the rankings.

PixelJunk Eden will also be receiving a patch to “enable some new modes of gameplay”. No word yet on what these modes are, but TheBBPS post stated that Cuthbert seemed to imply the addition of an easier mode for “the ‘lighter’ people out there”. Stay tuned for more updates.
