Dinosaurs, magic carpets, cyclopean sandcrabs in Sonic and the Secret Rings
You must be wondering what a blue hedgehog with white gloves and red boots is doing in the prehistoric era. And that’s not just any blue hedgehog. That’s Sonic himself, running for his life as pentaceratopses and T-rexes want him to stay at the bottom of the food chain and, not to mention, inside their reptilian tummies.
One of the levels in Sega‘s Sonic and the Secret Rings will have you barreling through the prehistoric era, as seen in these screenshots. You’re going to be running up the backs of dinos, cruising down the rivers on a log, and of course collecting those rings along the way. Time-warp into another place and era, another level will have you at some sand oasis palace of some sort, with Arabian colonnades to dash through and collapsing gilded pillars to evade.
These are the only two levels we’ve seen so far, but that doesn’t mean we’ve seen too much of it! Here are more screenshots to get those red boots warmed up!
