A brand new multiplayer demo for Lost Planet 2 is now available on the Xbox 360, with the PS3 version scheduled to arrive tomorrow. But wait there’s more, too boost up the downloads of the demo, Capcom is also partnering with a non-profit organization to raise money for the charity, if they can hit one million downloads. According to Capcom:

Downloading the Lost Planet 2 demo also benefits the world with Capcom’s “Kill Big for Charity” program. Capcom is partnering with Music for Relief, a non-profit organization dedicated to disaster relief and disaster risk mitigation, to contribute US$ 20,000 to charity if one million demos are downloaded across both XBL and PSN before May 5, 2010. An additional US$ 5,000 will be added to the pot if an extra 500,000 demos can be achieved. The specific cause to receive the donation will be determined by a celebrity tournament on May 6 in Los Angeles. The winning team of that tournament will choose which Music for Relief program will receive the funds.

The demo is said to feature the Turbulent Jungle map from the online versus mode, 16 players online battle, full chat support and stats tracking. The game will be released on May 11, 2010 for the PS3 and Xbox 360. A PC version of the game is scheduled for a Fall 2010 release.
