DS homebrew game: Lights Out! v1.0
Just by looking at this homebrew game’s title, some of you may already recognize this popular handheld game from Hasbro. Repackaged and released for the Nintendo DS, Lights Out! v1.0 is a homebrew game sharing the same name as the licensed puzzle game. Just by looking at this homebrew game’s title, some of you may already recognize this popular handheld game from Hasbro. Repackaged and released for the Nintendo DS, Lights Out! v1.0 is a homebrew game sharing the same name as the licensed puzzle game.
Coded by developer eglomer, it follows all the same gameplay mechanics as the original. It also has a convenient move tracker, which indicated the number of moves it took you to solve a particular puzzle.
For those of you not familiar with the game, you essentially need to turn off all the lights on a given grid. Selecting a box will turn off a lit square and any adjacent boxes as well. However, any lights which are in the “off” position will be turned on. The game is completed when all lights have successfully been turned off.
