Dungeons and Dragons Online at PAX
The Penny Arcade Expo can’t escape their fate of being the platform for developers to showcase what’s the latest on the games they’ve been laboring on for years. Such is the case for popular MMORPG Dungeons & Dragons Online.
Attendees were treated to a sneak peek of DDO’s new PvP and Module 3 or Demon Sands. The desert-themed update will increase the current content to as high as 30%, at the same time introducing a new Favor Reward (worth 1000 points) that will reveal a seventh character slot and provide four bonus stat points that can be applied to a single character.
Once the module becomes available, six different types of instances can be enjoyed by the players. At PAX, indoor Death Match and Capture the Flag scenarios were shown. Finally, in the works is a Dungeon Quest PvP environment which will have the added complication of monsters and traps besides the challenge of opposing team, all racing to complete the objective.
Module 3, Desert Sands will be released in October and increases the level cap to 12, however a level 12 Water Works will be available in September with some really top level rewards.
