EA confirms: No UEFA Euro 2008 for Nintendo Wii and DS
If you were hoping for word on EA’s possible release of UEFA Euro 2008 to Nintendo’s Wii and DS gaming systems, don’t wait up. The company’s recently confirmed that the game is heading for the Xbox 360, PS3, PS2, PSP, PC, and Mobile Phones only. More details await in the full article.
No, it wasn’t a mistake when Electronic Arts earlier announced that UEFA Euro 2008 was heading only to Xbox 360s, PS3s, PS2s, PSPs, PCs, and Mobile Phones.
The company has recently announced during an inquiry that they currently have no plans to port the game to either Nintendo’s Wii or DS consoles.
This may come as a disappointment for the Wii and DS owners who were hoping for their very own game port. All the more that EA had previously released (a similarly-themed) FIFA 08 to both the Wii and DS, and the rest of the platforms mentioned earlier.
UEFA Euro 2008 is scheduled for an April 11 launch to Europe this year, and will host several innovations such as the Captain Your Country and Battle of the Nations modes. Drop by again in case we receive any related updates regarding the game.
